Besides being a discount giant, Temu has joined the rank of stores currently offering the price adjustment feature. In essence, price adjustment is a retail practice, where customers (or call them shoppers) typically get a partial refund from the initial amount set for a specific item in a given timeframe.
So if you're looking to get a price adjustment for your orders on Temu, you've come to the right place. In this guide, I'll show you how to request a price adjustment for any eligible order on Temu.
What is the Temu Price Adjustment Policy?
Temu is a relatively new platform that has completely changed the way people shop nowadays. Its ability to help customers save on shopping is an extraordinary case in the market—and now, customers can request a partial refund from their eligible purchases through the price adjustment tag.
Temu price adjustment is a policy that allows customers to claim a refund for the price difference if the initially listed price of a product they purchased in the past decreases within a specific timeframe—typically within 30 days of purchase. This means that if you buy an item on Temu and its price drops within a certain period, you may be eligible for a refund of the price difference.
Does Temu Give Price Adjustments?
Yes, Temu gives price adjustments on eligible orders placed within the past 30 days since the order was placed.
Let me set a clear example of how this price adjustment works; let's say you purchased a bag on Temu at $50 on Friday, and almost a week later, on Thursday, the price goes down and becomes $30. If the product you purchased is eligible for a price adjustment, you should be able to request a price adjustment for that bag and get a partial refund of $20 within the next 30 days as from the Friday you bought the item.
How to Get Temu Price Adjustment
The price adjustment feature or tag on Temu isn't hidden and is often very easy to find. As always, anything concerning an order will be available in the "Your orders" section of the Temu app.
Before we go any further, make sure you've downloaded and installed the latest version of the Temu app on your device—as the steps I've provided are typically for the latest version of the app.
- Open the Temu app and go to your Temu profile.
- Open the "Me" section then select the "Your orders" option and find the purchases you made within the past 30 days.
- Check each product individually to see if it is eligible for a price adjustment refund. Eligible products will always have the "Price adjustment" tag close to them.
- Click on the item you want to get an adjustment refund to proceed to the next step.
- On the next page, you'll see the "Estimated total refund amount" and the orange "Request a price adjustment" button. Just click on the "Request a price adjustment" button to proceed.
- A page will pop up and on this page, you'll have to tap the orange "Submit" button and choose where you want the funds to be refunded.
Tip! Choose your Temu credit balance as a refund source so that the price adjustment amount will be refunded even faster (typically 3 minutes according to Temu).
Can I Get a Temu Price Adjustment Multiple Times?
Yes, you can get a price adjustment on Temu as many times as you want. However, you'll need to make sure that the item in question is eligible for the price adjustment and that you purchased it within the last 30 days. Usually, when an item is eligible, you'll find the price adjustment tag underneath the order and next to the available actions you can take for that specific order—typically after the refund/return page of the order.
Temu Price Adjustment Limit
I can't say there's a price adjustment limit for your Temu orders since Temu hasn't released an official note on any limits—perhaps, it might be hidden but it isn't available for the audience. It can still be a hidden strategy Temu uses—I can't just tell.
However, I've gotten $25 in 3 orders ($10, $8.5, and $6.5) back from Temu already just through the price adjustment tag and until date, so you can get as many partial refunds as possible as long as the order is eligible as mentioned earlier.
Temu Price Adjustment Not Available
If the price adjustment feature is not available for you, there are two things involved; either you're using the older version of the Temu app (usually the case for many customers) or your order is not eligible for a price adjustment.
In almost 90% of cases, customers can't find the price adjustment on Temu because they are using the older version of the app. In this case, I'll recommend you update the Temu app to the latest version—if you're on Android, update the app through the Google Play Store and if you're on iOS, update the app through the Apple App Store.
However, if your Temu app is updated and you can't still find the price adjustment tag on any or a specific order, then it means that the order isn't eligible for a price adjustment typically because it doesn't qualify or it has exceeded the 30-day timeframe imposed by the policy.
